Do you use rewards points from your credit cards?

I jsut spent 2,054 rewards points from American Express on a CD. It makes them seem worthless in one sense... I mean, I spent $2000 and I get a free CD. But then on the other hand, it's one CD I didn't have to pay for. Oh well, I guess they're a good thing... I've got 10,000 more that I dont know what to do with, I guess I can try and find 5 more CDs. Maybe I'll wait till The Two Towers comes out on DVD and get that.

Yes. I get 1% cash back from Discover, or 2% back if I am willing to accept gift certificates instead of cash. Well I shop at many of the stores that Discover provides gift certificates for, so I use the certificates. Just got me, my wife, and two of our friends a free dinner at Olive Garden yesterday. Not bad for the $2000 I was going to spend anyways to earn that dinner.

if the amex points worked at dell SB i'd be all over it. or dell home S&P. but they only work on home computers. i'll have to call in during some mega deal i suppose.
