I was just debating with my friend regarding which is the more popular one.
I think it is myspace, but I prefer to use orkut.

Not everyone keeps a journal. I threw up a quick myspace page, just so people could find me on the interweb if they were searching for me for whatever reason.

networking and keeping in touch with geographically dispersed friends is hardly pointless.
but then again you'd probably need to have friends and a life for that to be a valid statement.

I despise myspace. If orkut is in the same category, then I despise that too.
Emo is a waste of oxygen. My impression of emo is this: "OMG, life sucks, I hate everybody! I'm gonna go commit mass suicide with my emo friends!"
People with huge epeens just clog up the internet. The other big group of myspace users (besides emos) are people with large epeens. My definition of epeen: a person's online ego, usually directly proportional to their real-life ego, and inversely proportional to their real-life size. I find the need to post pictures online so other online people can tell you how hot/sexy/###### you look is lame and pathetic.

you said it seemed pointless i gave two very concrete reasons why it isnt pointless followed by my assesment for why someone might still find it pointless even with those two concrete reasons. That isnt trolling. Coming into a thread and saying xyz is pointless without any kind of coherant complete thought or reasoning behind it is a troll post. so yeah in summary im better than you.
