Of course, sometimes the GF saves over $50 using them, it would be stupid not to use them if you have them for items you would normaly buy.

Damn straight!

Really help out on cereals, cleaning supplies, and frozen dinners. Those $.50 off coupons really stack up! Last time we went grocery shopping, coupons saved us $13 on a $110 grocery bill. Not too shabby if you ask me.

Damn straight. Save at least 50 cents - $5 per trip to the grocery store.

stores in my area double and sometimes triple coipons to 99 cents, I buy multiples of high value coupons from a coupon clipping service for products I use, wait for sales and then stock up . Heck, Peapod, the grocery delivery service even takes coupons and orders oveer $60 are delivered free.

coupons save you money as long as you don't use one on something you did not intend to buy. Sometimes I do this since our grocery store doubles coupions up to 50 cents. On some items like ketchup and mustard you can make a couple of pennies.

My grocery coupons actually end up paying for my newspaper subscription, and then some.

I usually save 5-7 a week, mostly on things I would buy anyway, but sometimes on 'treats'.

Then again, I am shopping for a family of five....

count me in as a coupon user. my sunday paper has a bunch of coupon pages so every sunday i collect coupons. no one in my family uses them. i think they are just lazy.

like baffled said, some stores have double and triple coupon day so ask your local store manager about that and start saving. :)

I don't anymore. I found myself buying things I didn't normally buy... and then there's the "what is my time worth" factor. As for "Double" and "Triple" coupon days, I think they're illegal in Florida or something because I haven't see a DOUBLE COUPON sign in a grocery store window since I moved from Colorado.

Normally I buy Publix (local chain) brand product. It's typically so good quality, Consumer Reports rated Publix the best grocery store. If I use a coupon, it'll be for brand name product and I end up spending more in the long run. It's just not worth it.

When the national brands go on great sales, I'll partake, but without a coupon. For example, I was in a crappy ass U-Save store to pick up some beer. Walking to the beer section, I passed a Tropicana disply that had Pure Premium on sale for 2/$2.50. That's GREAT! I normally pay $1.99 for one Publix brand OJ. See?

You just have to be good with your shopping habits.

Here's a hot deal, about 3 weeks ago I went to albertsons with my buddy, and saw they were selling 5 15 stick gum packs for 1 dollar (they're usually 99cents a piece). Well I bought 25 of em for $5. I walk back in like 3 days alter and see them back at their 99cent per pack price :D

My wife and I collect almost all our coupons from the Sunday newspaper. Last month there was a Sunday where the grand total of manufacturer coupons was over $380 and the Sunday newspaper only costs $1.50

My favorite coupons are the $10 Entertainment coupon books, it's insane how much you can save. Almost 99% of the coupons are "Buy 1 - Get 1 Free" with a value of around $5 each. Eat out 2 times and you've already recouped the cost of the coupon book! There's over 50 pages of coupons! Ok I gotta take a few deep breaths and calm down.

I gave up trying to use coupons. The few times I actually remember to bring them to the store with me I end up forgetting to give them to the cashier when I check out. I'm not a forgetful person, there's just something about coupons. :)
