Do you use a tab manager in Chrome?

My Chrome went nuts today. I had around 15+ windows and they all opened black and were titled:

Replaced - Google Chrome

Unusable. I opened alternative browser (Brave) and searched, couldn't find anything on that window name. I surmised that disabling Tab Session Manager would fix the problem, I did, rebooted, started Chrome and only one tabless window opened.

So, I'm thinking I need a new tab manager. If I restart Win10 I'd like to be able to restore my windows/tabs. Tab Session Manager, I assume it's doing this, has my Chrome windows unmaximized, which I don't like. I'd just as soon they were maximized, but I didn't find a setting for that. Anyway, I figure I should leave it disabled or removed.

What tab manager do you like in Chrome?

I use firefox cause monopolies are bad. Every time someone uses a chromium based browser, it charges google's batteries a little bit more.

One does not need a tab manager. What you experienced looks like an operator error. Computers will do what they want to, not what you want them to.

I'm unsure why I'd need a tab manager. Firefox has a checkbox for restoring your session upon restart, does Chrome not come with that option by default?

I don't think it's on by default but it is a simple checkbox. It will ask you to restore your session after an unexpected shutdown by default, but to do it on every restart you need to go into settings.

None required. Chrome & Firefox both do a reasonable job on their own.

I try to use Firefox as much as possible but its doesn't always work. As a "compromise" I also sometimes use Chrome/Edge which is slightly better at protecting privacy then Chrome itself.
