Do you use a mousepad with your MS Intellimouse Explorer?

Do you?

I currently don't, but I notice that the bottom of the mouse gets dirty and I often have to clean it and wipe it so that I can move it easily. Otherwise I notice a difference in the ability to move it around.

Yeah, the grain on my desk will occasionally screw up the sensor and the mouse jumps around on the screen. Right now I'm using my Max Payne mousepad :D.

I don't even own a mousepad, but tomorrow I'm going to steal the Verizon one we have at work LOL.

It's so funny, we sell these mousepads at work that are "Specifically designed for optical mice!" at work. 'cuz yeah, normal mousepads won't work or something and these mousepads "improve performance"

i use one with my logitech optical. it keeps it from making noise on the desk, and gives me a soft place to rest my hand when i'm not using it.

I own the normal MS wheel mouse optical and I use a mouse pad with it...

My wooden desktop surface doesnt work well with the optical mouse... the cursor jump around sometimes without the pad...

a func 1030 works quite well with my explorer :D
moves much smoother than a normal cloth pad....if u play any fps this comes highly recommended.

Yeah, I use one...I don't like the way the mouse feels against my desk. The resistance from the wood isn't right.

No way man. I have an MS wireless optical wheel mouse and keyboard, and I just lounge back and use the mouse on my jeans or a pillow or whatever is close at hand. Much more comfortable.

I use some Defender rubber mousepad with a wrist rest of a horribly green color, but I like it. It's the best one I've ever bought, definately.

Yes, I do, but only because I have a mousepad (a relic from the ball mouse era ;)) with a nice gel wrist rest built into it.

I use two different ones. One is a Coconut Monkey mousepad from pcgamer that says "Hands off my monkey!" and another is the mousepad from the first computer we owned that had a mouse. Its this funky green hard mousepad that's GREAT for mousing. It's like 10-15 years old and it still works great :)
