yep, because it doesn't handle wood grain well... either that or the desk is shiny...

Yeah, it doesn't glide very smooth on the desk surface so I use a mousepad.

Just tried out my GTA 3 mousepad, feels wrong when compared to my desk, no mousepad feels much better.
