I did cause I was worried about scratching the screen.. but too much dust got in between the screen and cover.. so I bought some Displex to fix any scratches I may get.

I have two and use one of them only because I'm wary of scratching the paint. Seems this silver finish on Sanyo phones isn't as tough as the rest of the phone
