Dude, you posted some interesting cars, but lets take this to the next level:
The MG SV. The worlds first Nitrous powered production car. (Nitrous version not available yet)
The Nobel M12, M400 and the new M14
The Ariel Atom - Nuff said.
You aren't, but who wants to go around in a tiny sports car when getting hit by a 5500 lb suv is certain death?Originally posted by: JulesMaximus

Solstice? That's not in production yet if I'm not mistaken.

I don't know what you're asking either... you might want to explain what each of those 4 cars you posted pictures of means to you Brits. We don't all know what category those fit in, other than of course the TVR and Morgan which I think most people in the US would consider exotic sports cars, in which case, the closest thing from the US would probably be a Corvette C6, Viper RT-10, or Mustang Cobra R... but the US doesn't really have any grossly overpriced exotics.

The original point of my OP was to show that there is a niche within the US market for small, light, (therefore smaller engine - but still good hp/kg ratio) soft top sport cars.
There are lots of other I could of mentioned - all are affordable-ish (the most expensive was the TVR at £38k).
I could of mentioned several others like the Nobel (original made with 1x1300cc Blackbird motorbike engine - can be factory custom built with 2x 1300cc within the same block to give you a 2.8L V8 supercharged, but now sold with the 3L V6).
