Was working today (I work in a mall). I see this guy with an "Intel Inside" spoof shirt. It saw the bottom label it was branded a tag that said "spoof shirt", I guess meaning, a funny-joke shirt. I was looking at his shirt the whole time he was there, trying to understand it, being the geek that I am. I couldn't figure it out, so I copied it down, and wondered if you guys would know what it would mean...

Heres the "joke"...

Inutel Inside

Anyone get it?

Well according to dictionary.com, Inutile means "not useful", so maybe that's the joke. If so, it isn't really too funny.

You mean that thing with the Pentium 89.99999999s? ;) I bet a lot of people at least heard about that one.

Sounds like it should have said "Imbecile Inside" or something like that instead. ;)

I noticed that the site is a filipino store and also recognized some of the words on the other shirts. I saw "mahal" in "Mahalboro" and thought that it's probably some tagalog pun type spoof on these shirts. I don't know tagalog myself, so I googled the word "Inut" and it is a verb meaning "to go slow." I guess this means that Intel = slow and since it's a pun on the shirt, it should be funny. Ha ha, ha.....ha.....riiiiight.

Not funny at all. But then again, geek shirts are seldom funny. I groan when I see an engineering nerd wearing one on campus :).
