I usually go maybe 5-10%.. a buck or two just for them carrying it to my car.. But, when I can, I elect to just pick the food up at the bar and then I don't pay a tip.

I don't think they let you go out of the car at outback. Most of the others, I think, you have to go inside.

what exactly is curbside takeout ? Like ordering from Red Lobster to go ?

Or grabbing food from a window at sidewalk shacks ?

Lots of places have curbside service - you call ahead and park. They bring your grub to you while you wait.

I do it at outback steakhouse all the time.

I don't think I would. There's a big difference between waiting on a person's table for an hour and carrying their food out to them in a bag.

You tip if they walk it out for you, just $1 or so, but if you pick up inside, that is a no-tip zone. :p
