Do you think you know where Jimmy Hoffa is buried?

It's a long standing joke in the Detroit area that he's buried under one of the end zones in the Pontiac Silverdome where the Lions play. So that's my vote.

<< Hrmmm...wasn't the Silverdome built before 1975 though? >>

Not sure exactly when Hoffa disappeared, but here's some facts from the silverdome website:

Groundbreaking: September 19, 1973
Construction completed on time (23 months) and on budget.

Which takes it well into 1975. I would assume, however, that all the floor was done before he disappeared. Like I said, it's a joke. I was born and raised in the Detroit area and that's what I heard.

Each single time I went to the Silverdome, a person died there. I was a kid when I went to see The Who with my cousin and someone died then. I also saw The Rolling Stones in December of '97 and some Idiot jumped off a balcony during Jumping Jack Flash. *I'm holding my self back from typing "LOL". Both my visits to the Silverdome were when a death occured.

Growing up in Jersey, it was common knowledge that Hoffa has permanent 50 yard line tickets at Giants Stadium, from underneath. :D

OK.....I'm gonna' throw my .02 in here too!;)

His family has a "compound" about 15 miles from my house. it's in central MO and was built in the mid-late 70's. He (Jimmy) owned the land since thw late 60's and it consists of 700+ acres.

My family has been in the Masonry Construction business here since the late 40's and my Father did the Brickwork. I worked there a few times through my years with the company and I do know this......there is an area about 50'X50' with a 8' - 10' high wrought iron fence surrounding it completely. Working there was actually pretty fun at times........they brought beer out many times for us after work and had a huge party when the main structure was completed around '78 or so. At that time, his Son and 1 Daughter were the main people we'd see there as far as those we knew, but there were always at least 10 - 15 people there when we'd work therefore you never even thought of going to check out the area mentioned above although it was discussed often!

I was there last about '85 and did some more work on a secondary house (only about 3000 sq. ft.) and the same area was there just as it was before, very well kept with flowers and small bushes but nothing else visable.

Well, I suppose by now you can figure what my thoughts on this matter are......I have no idea if I am even in the right ballpark (LOL after above comments) but many people around here seem to think so! Hell........I probably shouldn't even be writing this...........

BTW; for anyone whom thinks this is just completely a story.......it's all a matter of public record as far as where the compound is and when the construction permits were issued........it's there and it's very close to where I ended up building but, I have no desire to go try and find out if I'm correct! The whole damned place was and is spooky.......wrought iron fences and all!
