Do you think you have a soul ?

something incorporeal, intangible, or transcendental that you either turn to (or turn on) to help you weather difficult moments or as something that serves as evidence of the divine, or both, or something else altogether.

here's a fairly comprehensive multi-part definiton of what the word soul can mean:

tell us how you know or feel that you do or do not possesse a soul ?

I cannot comprehend non-existance. But I know that I will die at some point. Those thoughts conflict, and become a soul. An afterlife. An excuse. A justification.

I act like as if I do, but don't have a clue if I do or not.
It really doesn't matter one way or another.

Something that drives me crazy when I think about it and makes me believe I have a soul. What happens when you die, do you just see black forever?

u dont see sh!t. ur dead. there's nothing, and you wont even be conscious for it. ever. your stuck unconcious forever. for eternity. thanks. bye now.

Well, I think there is more to a person that just a collection of cells. When I think about it, I realize that I can't possibly fathom how a couple billion neurons can create thought, or emotion, or logic. That makes me think maybe there is something noncorporeal about us. And that makes me think about whether a deity of some sort exists or not. It's all very crazy and I can never come to a definite conclusion.

not the afterlife, although i understand that's a slipper slope difficult to dodge, but
while you are alive, now, today, do you feel deep enough to say that you do or do
not have a soul ?

usually to feel deep enough takes extraordinary stress, a moment of rare power,
good or bad, that brings someone to the end of their tether. at that moment, when
you feel powerless, or are verging on surrender, or you're worried about whether
you have the ability to persevere and overcome, do you then discover something
new, greater, and heretofore unfelt that helps you come through ?

I had one, but one night I went down the the crossroads at midnight, and a dark man came, and he played my guitar. Now i'm not so sure.

I hope so. then again, the automatic doors in the supermarket won't open for me...I think I sold it for a candy bar to my brother. Then he sold me his and mine for quarter....does having two souls make me super human?

I don't know if you'd call it a Soul or not. But I believe, like my ancestors, that when I die, SOME part of me will be taken upon a great horse, ridden by a large and beautiful, full busted woman with a horned helmet, to a giant lodge where there will be feasting.. quaffing .. and a casual dress code. Perhaps it's only wishful thinking, but it's my end of life and I'll choose to believe what ever I want 🙂
