We could get rid of the penny and the nickle, in favor of a 2.5 cent coin. We'll call it the half-nickle.

That already exists. When I lived in Oregon, $2 bills and coin dollars were widely used.

We need pennies in retail... it's so we can tell people we're out and piss people off, otherwise how would I get through my day!
