Every time somebody connects to a proxy, the proxy is free to display a message.

Do you think a company that is desperate enough would actually be willing to pay to advertise on the TA proxy - all money could go to running the proxy and the gamebox.

That is a VERY interesting idea. Does dnet have any restrictions on that sort of thing?

I don't see any reason why dnet could have any problems with it; the point of a seperate proxy is to give additional avenues for data transmission and stats keeping. What goes on on the proxy as far as messages displayed shouldn't make any difference, so long as the data being transmitted isn't being interfered with.

It has it's merits, but the idea is ultimately doomed to fail. First and foremost, it'd be using Dnet's software; and most likely, they have a rule against using it to make money(other than cash from winning a Dnet contest). Secondly, the "buyer" would get only a tiny amount of text space, to which most people don't look at. 3rd and foremost, it would require the recipient to be a company, and I'm sure no-one wants to go down that lane.:eek:
