he talked during the presidential race? And by that I mean by using the diction of a 3rd or 4th grader with zero eloquence whatsoever?

If so, that is so embarrassing for our country. These world leaders must think they are talking to a child, not the leader of the free world. Sad!

Great speakers speak to the level of the crowd. A lot of people in this country have very narrow vocabulary.

Absolutely.

First, there's Trump cutting short the call with Australia when the refugee commitment came up. If he doesn't like the subject of the conversation, he quits. Then there's his tendency to not understand what he's talking about -- people have had to explain nuclear treaties and even the Geneva Convention to him. And of course, there's his compulsive desire to brag about his popularity (imagined, of course, not real) in unrelated conversations, like a spoiled child who needs constant approval.

Basically: the US is now represented by a man with the intellectual maturity of an 8-year-old.
