Do you think this is worth my $50?

I currently have a pretty old but slick Elsa Gladiac GF2 GTS 32DDR (highest performance among all GF2 GTS).

I could get a Visiontek GF3 Ti 200 64mb for $50. Do you think it's worth the money? What kind of performance increase should I expect? And I assume this'd be far faster than GF4 MX bullsh|t right? I can even sell my old card for $20~...

A lot of the Ti200's overclock like a dream. When I had mine, it was running at Ti500 speeds, so for $50, I'd say go for it.

yes, it'll perform better than a GF4 MX. You're basically running a GF4 MX now.

You can sell your card for more than $20 bucks. I sold my Creative Labs GTS for $37 a month ago and upgraded to a Ti500. As for performance increase, you'll notice the difference playing games like Warcraft III. But don't expect Counterstrike or the like to run faster.

Yes, its better then anything with an MX in the name.

As far as speed boost, check out old reviews of the GF3's. They probably compare it to a card similar to your current one. I'm sure anadtech has a review like that 😀

CS is 3(??) year old technology and really doens't benefit from better performing cards. WCIII is a newer game that takes advantage of the faster video cards.

You're getting more than 100 fps, CS just isn't correctly reporting how high.

I think his point is that you're not going to see a difference in that situation.

visiontek website says it's 47% better than my current card. (ran the analysis)

but i think it could be more because it's 64mb and i can finally run high res textures on war3 without lagging (runs very smooth on medium though)

sounds like you're enjoying your new video card. have you had a chance to try and overclock it? i highly recommend (and others as well) RivaTuner.
