I have exported my registry right after a clean install of win2k, my point is to perhaps be able to avoid a reinstall if I expereince problems in win2k. If so I just import the regestry file. Will it do any good or is it worthless???.

If you install any new apps, you'd have to backup your registry again. Or else you'd have to reinstall your apps when you restore your registry. Personally, I just burn a HD image of my current system every month on some CDRW's.
