Do you think this is too expensive? What's a good price???

i'd say reasonable but it is a 14-year old car.. don't expect much

if you end up buying it, im sure the owner will even change the rear drums for you if you ask.

The engines in those cars are rock-solid. I've got a 99, and although the body style is different, the engine is exactly the same. Check out nissanclub.com, they have good forums and they can tell you what problems to look for when test-driving the car.

Oh, haha. Probably should make that more clear in your OP.

In order to make it seem more worthy, I'd push the MPG rating of the car, and also buy some hubcaps for it and retake the picture. I know it seems silly, but seeing steelies with no hubcaps makes a car look worthless.

The interior and exterior has gone to shit. I've steam cleaned the interior but it's too worn. The paint and clear coat are chipping. The paint is faded too. I don't know what more you could do with it.

I know, the engine is great. It has almost 140 on it and I did a compression check on all 4 cylinders wet and dry and they were pushing out 180 which is the manual pressures!!!!!!!

The interior and exterior are shit though...

Sounds like a pretty good deal, actually, if everything he says is true.

Yeah, I went to Wal-Mart and got a $14 set of wheel covers for my old Protege, and I was surprised how much better the car looked. Of course, it didn't net me a higher trade-in value. 😉

Raise it to $5000 and you might actually get more people looking at it. Some people will see the $1600 price and assume its a piece of junk and you're desperate to get rid of it. Raise it to $5,000 and you might get offers for $2,000 and people will think they are getting a great deal.

agreed, the cost seems like there is an untold horror story hidden in the car. Increase the price to at least 3800$, put a set of cheap hub caps on and you will get hits for around 2k$.
