Do you think this is preventing my modem from working in Linux?

I am getting the Asus Specific drivers (I can't use Nvidias b/c Asus made some changes) for Redhat9.0 2.4.20-8

But in the Asus folder all I see is:

Nvdia_nforce-1.0-0241.suse80.i386.rpm
Nvdia_nforce-1.0-0241rh73up_2.4.18_5.athlon.rpm
Nvdia_nforce-1.0-0241rh73.athlon.rpm

I have distros for suse and rh7.3

But for the RH7.3 is that JUST for 7.3 or is it 7.3 on up? (ie 7.3,8.0,8,1,9.0?)

Thanks..."I'm thinking if I don't have the drivers installed then maybe the distro can't get to the modem or something.

Though sound works fine right out of the box so I'm confused a tad 😉
