i got to know this girl during summer school at the dorm. she was a dormer for a year now but never got to talk to her before or anything. until when summer started...

She's not the most beautiful girl I've seen in my life, nor is she the ugliest. she looks good, not spectacular or anything...
so yeah one day she asked me to tutor her for Summer School science. She was asking me because I'm bilingual and since she's not a fluent english speaker she wanted me to tutor her in Korean. so I accepted it, $8 an hour. so yeah I'm tutoring her and stuff and we hung around during lunch, talked during study hall and built friendship and Korean-style brother-sister thing.

so this one time she asked me if I tried this one Korean candy (knowing that I'm almost completely stupid when it comes to knowledge about my own country). It's basically melted sugar wound up on a wooden stick, kinda like cotton-candy, except it's not fluffy, when it dries it becomes this solid piece of mass... anyway, about a week later, she took me to the kitchen and she brought some brown sugar and was melting it, so I asked "what are you trying to do?" and she responded with a smile on her face, "ppoki" (i dunno what the hell that's supposed to mean... apparantly "ppoki" is the name of that food...). after about 20 minutes of wrestling with the damn chopstick and the half-assed oven, she handed over the finished product and said "It's a gift!" It didn't taste good at all but I said "it's good", nonetheless. that was the sweetest thing that happened to me this summer.

but wait, that's not all, when it was time for her to pay me $50 for the tutoring fee (it's really $80 but I only asked $50 for it... 10 hours of tutoring), all of a sudden she just came out of nowhere and I felt skin in my hand... she was giving me the cash from behind and she tucked the money between my fingers. her hand was...... soft.... although cold 😛

and finally, summer school ended. We were on the same flight back to Korea, our homeland. so yeah I was looking out the airport window and someone plopped down next to me, guess what, it was her again. so we got on the plane together and when we were looking for our seats she said "Let's sit together". so she asked the gentlemen sitting next to me if she can change seats with her so she can sit next to me. omfg, I was speechless... so for the first time in my life, a flight was not boring. she asked me to get beer for her so she can go to sleep 😀 so I got a can of beer (and I'm only 16! bad KAL) and we shared... dang had to go to the bathroom 3 times in the bathroom. later on the girl asked for cards in the airplane so we played cards... played this one game where we have to smack down on the cards... damn everytime two cards with the same number came up there was hand contact 😀

and then we got off the plane in Korea and she was sooooo happy to be back. so she was like "yay" and she hopped on me and gave me a hug in front of like 20 people (wtf?).

and she said she wanted to meet me in Korea, go around places and go watch a movie, meet before 12 and get lunch, go home in the night... too bad that didn't work out. stupid mom. :| :| :|

So what do you guys think, do you think she likes me? When she wanted to meet me, was she asking me out? or is it the Korean sister-brother respecting kinda thing (the social heirarchy in Korea is gay, requires anyone younger to speak-up to someone older and respect)?

thanks for any reply (and sorry for the long post) 🙂

Well, I'm as white as they come.. (okay, the double entendre in that statement is apparent only at 3AM, but I digress), but that sort of behavior would seem to indicate that she is interested.

I was close to my sister for most of my life, and we were never physical in that manner.

Yes, she likes you.
She'd like you even more if you'd actually come on to her rather than sitting here posting.

Ask her out for a drink or lunch to start with, and see how it fares.

All the classic signs are there..... Physical contact is a big one... (she hugged you).
Bust a move!

What does "I'm as white as they come" mean?

Probably refers to his lack of knowledge of any other culture. He could also have used 'American', but he might not want to lower himself that much.

Why cant YAGT be explained in a paragraph...

And no offence, but its a bit obvious.

Dudes wouldn't be posting this if they could make a move and be confident wouldn't they?

Well iskim86 yeah she likes you. Physical contact with a girl is important and is mostly a giveaway that she feels relaxed around you and probably likes you.

Hey did you get her number? Her email? Well in situations like this I would get a number or an email as she lives in Korea and unless you do calling is pricey man! So go with the email (last resort)

As I turned round to look at her face, I felt a bulge, quite unlike anything I had ever experienced before in my life. Glancing down, I noted with some surprise that what looked like a miniature tent was being pitched at the front of my trousers. With her hand still touching mine, her fingers soft...although cold...caressing my shaking hand I turned round to face her, revelling in the clear rapture her expression portrayed. "Talk dirty to me in Korean" she gasped, the wods distorted slightly by her husky voice, escaping from her lips upon ragged gasps of breath... "Umm..." he replied, unable to think as the tent suddenly brushed up against what could only be her leg...

LMAO 😀

How the hell I post on the wrong thread...

Anyway, yeah it seems like she likes you. Could just be being playful though... but if you're here and she's there looks like friendship is your best bet.

Ahh, one of the better girl threads...

"She's not the most beautiful girl I've seen in my life, nor is she the ugliest. she looks good, not spectacular or anything..."

"when it was time for her to pay me $50 for the tutoring fee"

"dang had to go to the bathroom 3 times in the bathroom"
