Do you think this case is good?

I assume the front panel opens up to reveal more drive bays...right? The internal PS fan is a nice touch.

Yea, it does open up. Iwonder what kind of computer I should build??? I knwo I want a duron, but what speed. Do you think that the Duron will be up to 1ghz in three months? That's when I am wanting to put the system together.

dunno about the 760's and duron.

the case sucks. i had one. first off, let me tell you a little about the cd-rom drive. it's bad. they're poorly manufactured and break. secondly, the ps is 200 watts. not very much. thirdly, taking off the cover panel all the time is a big pain and when it's off the case isn't nearly so pretty (he took the picture with it on for a reason). next, take a look at the housing for the cd-rom. if you ever want to replace the drive you're f*cked. it's a modified drive so it'll fit that oh-so-pretty case and different drives won't fit. come to think of it, that case has the old gateway logo from more than 2 years ago, so the ps might not even be 200 watts. you should ask the seller what it is if you still want to go through with it even after all i've said. lastly, i can't remember if there were places to put extra case fans inside. if that's the case, then you'd have to cut through the metal to add one. you certainly couldn't add one in the front since there are no intake slits in the front of the casing. it's a good looking case, but it's not functional for anything but a gateway system. that's why they don't make it any more and now use cases with no housing over the drives.

The case sucks ass..
If you look at the power supply... it's so cheap that they put the fan on the outside... I've had the same power supply before.. you will have problems if you slot 1/A or slocket (the fan gets in the way). I just received my Antec 1030b. It's probably the best case I've ever used..
I wouldn't buy this case for even $30.. You can find better..

i don't know about gateway's case-purchasing philosophies in the past, but their cases now rock. it's very clean, and getting into them is a cinch. there are tabs on the back that you press toward the center and the door pops right off. the tabs are about an inch long so it's super easy to grab them. the 5.25 drives are all on trays that slide in and out with the same type of tabs. the athlon systems they ship now come with either a 250w or 280w ps, so it's a little on the weak side, but then again, they don't have all the excess fans and drives that most of us have. the new cases also have usb access right in the front - along with an optional firewire port. so, to sum up, the new cases rock and the old cases sucked. :)
