Yes. The skies will be full of drones of all types. Also, yes, there will be regulations that are frequently ignored by those with money and power, and aggressively enforced against those that lack neither. When those in power are taken to court, weasel words will be used to get them out of trouble, as the only requirement asked of them is that their poor behavior be backed by "good faith".

There will be a market for anti-drones as well, be it hacking them or knocking them out of the sky.

What's governments reasoning being putting drones in our skies?

Pick one. Terrorists, kids, general "public safety". It comes down to following Constitutional protections is hard, and they want unfettered access to anything they want.

The constitution is just a conversation piece that politicians use when in pursuit of an agenda to fit their skewed narrative. And when it doesn't fit in with their plans, it's just a relic from another era.

I would think our all mighty government with all of their debt would cut back on their spending and not live beyond their means....but then again, I keep forgetting that our Government really works for the business vs people, at people's expense of course.

They have my nude pictures through TSA's x-ray vision cameras... what can be worse than that?

I see a market for cheap expendable suicide drones for flying into other drones, just because. Spy on me? There goes your million dollar toy.

Money, lobbyists of the drone manufacturing companies will bribe them into it, just like covering the whole city with CC TV cams... if you question is what they will gain from it? well.. nothing!
We live in a corrupt society where politicians don't give a rat's ass about what happens to or what's actually good for people.
