Do you think there is too much smut on the internet?

While this is an age old argument about disgusting behavior on TV, it has reached all time highs on the internet.

Throughout the decades I have noticed things really go downhill - and I mean fast. Simply put, people just arent as friendly as they used to be. While there are many causes for this, I think one overlooked gem (besides the old standby of porn) is our sense of what is humorous. Its seems as though we have to stoop lower and lower to make people laugh because most everything has been done already.

I could mention certain youtube videos by name, but I wont. But I think you have to admit, just because something was made with the intention of being funny doesnt make it funny. And Im afraid its only going to get alot worse. 🙁

Yes. Have you seen some of the movies they made back then? At least our smut has skinny chicks.

I don't know. If I don't want to see smut, I don't go to smut sites. If I do want to see smut, I browse my bookmarks.

There is an old saying, "Funny is when you fall down a open manhole and die, tragedy is when I cut my finger."
We have always found such things funny.

So you would rather have the 2 face back stabbers in the real world than reading mean jokes on the internet. Really?

I understand your point of smogzinn, but why do people think that disgusting behavior is now normal? I think its from certain videos on youtube. People think its mainstream now to have potty mouths, be rude to anyone that disagrees with you, and perhaps even worse.

I would venture to say that there are more non-smut sites on the web now that at any point in history (save the .1 second between when the first two computers were networked and the first ASCII penis was sent from one to the other)

There was many years in which there was little to no smut on the web. I was there before the Endless September.
 
I didn't know what the hell smut meant until I did a google search it. :-/

Anyway, accidentally voted Yes. I meant no. There is too much porno when every page you go to has it and there is no way to safeguard against it. 🙂
