Since we can see so much problems for the KT133A mobos in this forum,

do you still think KT133A mobos are mature enough??

Well there are only a few issues... and most arent directly chipset related.

MSI is just a poor performer...
IWill has the multiplier issues

Asus and Abit should both work well... tho I recommend Asus more since it performs a bit better and Abit has very high RMA rates.

But I havent seen any issues directly related to the chipset really.

Actually once you get it working (like both of mine are) it performs quite impressively. I would say that the chipsets are fairly solid now. It is the manufacturers that create the problems when they try to cater to the o/c crowd which is a rough bunch and could spoil what would otherwise be good boards. Prime example is ABIT.

My Asus A7V133 is rock solid the first day i put it together :)

My friend had a few problem with his Iwill when he first got it, still working on it (day 4 for him).

my company just bought a epox motherboard and AMD 1.2 CPU.

took 2 full day to set it up, install win98 twice.

I think I will go for Asus.

Considering KT133A is barely 3 months old, and the fact that all KT133A mobos now on the market are all initial offerings of each manufacturer it's still far better than its predecessors like i810, i820, i815, etc. I've been holding up on this chipset until the second wave of flavors come out of the manufacturers like when the 440BX was offered before.;)
