I don't know...I thought Eminem's last album was actually pretty good...no need for the government to revoke his domain, eminem.com.

Well considering we've appropriated part of Cuba, the nice parts of Afghanistan . . . damn let that one sink in, all of Iraq, and Diego Garcia what's the harm in snatching private US property . . . it made George W. Bush a millionaire.

It's good to have it, but it can be really abused by some local governmnents. More care needs to be exercised when using it.

The only time eminent domain should be allowed to be used is when the government needs to build a road or some other important utility. This "blighted" B.S. needs to stop. Who is to say someone's property is blighted? Who makes this determination and what standards do they use? Is it blighted compared to third world countries or is it blighted compared to a multi-million dollar estate?

It is not the government's job to make these determinations. The government should not have the right to force private businesses out just to make way for some other enterprise that will increase the government's tax revenue.

Where have you've been? 6 Families were forced from their homes in Alabama so the Town could give their land to Walmart. Just look up Alabaster Alabama.

From article above:

?This is a nation-wide epidemic,? says Berliner. ?We have documented more than 10,000 instances of government taking property from one person to give it to another in just the last five years.?

GeekEnder, you ask "Do you think the government's power of Eminent Domain should be revoked?"

For me, words have a literal meaning. When you say "revoked," I think you mean it literally. Gee, the government has no more power to build roads, create school sites, create airports, establish new police stations and medical facilities? Gee, that seems great to me. Did you perhaps mean, "Should the right of eminent domain be restricted?"

Take two deep breaths and think before you establish a new thread.
