Assuming bore/stroke ratio remains the same, would the I6 not rev higher? Less reciprocating mass. BTW, one Skyline currently has a rev limit of ~14K RPM, but I forget its name.Originally posted by: Bignate603
From my understanding they use the V10 engines because they allow them to have big flat cylinders (large bore, small stroke) which let them shoot RPM through the roof, giving them more top end power. The bigger cylinders of a I6 would give nice low end torque but that's not what FIA racing uses most of the time.
Stick with the 3.0L V10.
