Do you think the federal government will do anything if there is another pandemic?

During COVID-19 the federal government passed stimulus checks, boosted unemployment compensation, funded vaccine research, gave emergency vaccine authorization to several COVID-19 vaccines, distributed PPE and COVID-19 test kits, among other things. The most effective response was developing the COVID-19 vaccine of course. After all this happened we learned that most of Trump's base hates vaccines and hate any kind of stay-at-home mandate. Do you think if there was another pandemic that Trump would get behind funding a new vaccine or would he try and block things like vaccine funding, stay-at-home, etc?

I doubt there would be federal stay at home orders, therefore no stimulus checks. Trump was opposed to that last time, but some governors ignored him.
I'm pretty sure the vaccine hate didn't start until Trump left office, and started bad mouthing Fauci, and all the conspiracies started.

Other than restaurants that didn't do takeout, here in Michigan, I didn't know anyone that had to stay home. There were so many exceptions, that almost everyone was considered an essential worker. I know I was was, and my job could have easily been done remotely. Nope.

No, he won't do anything similar (to warpspeed) of any significance. His base will not allow it. They'll suffer for it.

And I'll enjoy watching it a little bit more than I should.

Not going to hold my breath for the next one.
We're probably closer to the next pandemic than you realize. H1n1 has been teasing us for a while. I wouldn't be surprised if it happened during Trump's second term.

A superstitious person might think someone was trying to send us a message.

Trump is transactional and not a true believer.

Just look at Trump vs MAGA on H1B's.
He cares nothing for science, the real nature of which is a mystery to him. News and policy are things he regards with respect to his motivations which are transitory, unpredictable, self-involved in the extreme. The worst of it is that he doesn't know who to listen to. There are people who get his ear, but he generally will not admit to those confidences. He goes to his television (in particular right wing media) his main tool in conjuring his reactions to concerns that develop.

No such thing as federal stay-at-home orders.
Hypothetically if a pandemic struck in 2028, the responses would diverge a lot from state to state.

@Pens1566 is right that there would be less federally coordinated action.
