Do you think the Circuit City Roadshop will give a partial refund?

I was feeling lazy last Sunday so I took my car to Circuit City to get my Sirius Satelite setup installed. Dropped it off when the store opened at 11, and was told to come back around 5 or so to pick it up. I did so and found them still working on it. They then told me they had to take more stuff apart then they thought they would have to and that I should bring the car back again and leave it to be finished as they were closing in a half hour.

I was more than a little peaved so I took the car home and just did the install myself. Part of the reason I was peaved was that I am pretty sure they left my car for last because I got the impression that they didn't like cops of any type. When I showed up to pick it up, the kid at the desk was a dick to me, and the installer made it seem like it was my fault that my car would require more work than they thought. All they had done was slap the antenna on the roof and run it to the front of the car. They hadn't touched anything else.

So do you think I should ask for a partial refund?

It really isn't all that much money $74 total, but it irks me to no end to pay for a job they didn't complete as promised.

I have worked in car audio...I can tell you that installs can go bad very easily especially with those stupid antennas....call the store and talk to the manager...if they didnt finish the job, then you probably can get your money back.

The thing is they offered to finish it, but I would have had to bring it back another day. That seems bogus to me...I think I will call the manager.

Don't they have like a "we'll install it today or its free?" and plus, they had the car since the store opened. I'd definately ask for a refund.

Yea, a refund should be no problem. Gaurenteed same day installation, or its free(assuming you bought it from them). I doubt it had anything to do with you being a cop...trust me, we deal with people that piss us off more than anyone can just be naturally inclined to feel towards a cop. They probably just hit some snags in your car and were annoying with that, an easy install going hard, which is where the attitude came from. Even if you got there right at 11, it IS possible that they had other installs lined up arleady, and if one of those was say, a car alarm, that can take all day in itself. Go in and talk to the roadshop manager...he should be able to help you out.

It really depends on the car....and if your car is the first of that make/model that they have done...then plan on some wait time

One bacon double cheeseburger. Its for a cop.
Roger.
Why did you tell him it was for a cop?
I just told him that so he would make it good.
He is probably going to spit in it.
Hold the spit on that cop's burger.
Roger, holding the spit.
There you go.
....
Does that look like spit to you?
Yeah,
Fvck it.
