it takes time to strap him down and prep him and the whole process is probably like a ritual.

10 bucks say riots tomorrow?

Probably not, but it probably takes that long to pronounce him dead.

It takes something in the 5-7 minute range to die from lethal injection. But the process of getting him onto the bed and strapping him down, etc probably didn't start until 12:01. They also give it way more time than necessary to make sure the person is dead. Probably waited at least 15 minutes before sending a medical examiner in to confirm it. Then you've got the time it takes for the prison to give the information to the news.... etc

I don't give him that much importance. To me, he was just another murderer who got what he deserved. Just another brutal thug who thought that because he was big and tough and willing to kill that the rule of law didn't apply to him and he could do what he wanted by harassing and murdering those who were weaker. Well... that all caught up with him today.
May he be quickly forgotten, as though he had never been.

Nah, he has spoken out against gang violence. Any influence he had would have gone the other way. He might be able to keep kids from getting involved, and he may have been able to reach some newer members, but actually infleuncing what gangs do... nah. In all likelyhood there isn't a gang member on the street who has ever met him. Crips probably forgot about him a long time ago, it is just society in general who knows/cares much about him now.

Except that every member attributes foundational credit to someone else, yeah.

If he hadn't been caught and was living the bling lifestyle right now that had been funded by a lifetime of murdering and drug dealing, I'm betting £10 that he wouldn't be preching and writing books for kiddies.

I wonder if anyone has ever made a solar powered electric chair?

Imagine yourself, a mother or a father of a young daughter.. that you had hoped and dreamed for , for such a long time. Now that reality has happened, and life is as good as it gets. There is nothing more that you could possibly ask for. A human life has been created out of love from a mother & father.
Every day the bonds between you grow stronger and stronger.. you come home from work, and your daughter or son comes to you and gives you a huge hug and welcomes you home... this happens day after day..
you watch that child grow from crawling, to losing its first tooth, to its first days of pre-school.. then first grade, and so on..

drift further a little further... you come home one day, and your wife or husband is screaming and crying at you frantically as you come home, and informs you that your daughter/son has been raped and then murdered..... for no apparent reason that you could possibly explain..

This has nothing to do with the circumstances of Mr. Williams.. but in my opinion.. if you take a life, you should have yours taken as well..

According to CNN's article, it took the medical personnel around 20 minutes to find a vein to inject the chemicals. That explains why it took so long to pronounce him.
