Really nice, Christian scholars, hard-nosed, kick you in the ass style coaches, or those that are intelligent, but also enforce strict discpline on their team???

Agressive, yet non-violent. A good coach earns the respect of his players, he doesn't expect it.

There is no one single way to be a great coach. Some are the mild mannered genius types (Bill Walsh), some are the inspirational ra-ra leaders (Lombardi), some are the get in your face kick your butt types (Parcells, Jimmy Johnson) etc etc. Different styles can work, depending on the situation and on the character of the players you coach.

Definitely, I like strict coaching but there is no need for that BULLSH*T that Bobby Knight pulled.

Coaches need patience and discipline. This is why I believe Michael Jordan will be a terrible coach. He may have discipline but he does NOT have patience. He will literally go up to the player and mock him for doing so poorly on the court. Coaches should never be a perfectionist, like Jordan.
