Do you think that Lance Armstrong will win the NYC Marathon?

He's not Kenyan so no. Second, a large part of endurance sports is muscle efficiancy which is developed by training. If it was cycling instead of running, then he would win.

No way in hell. He'll do better than the average Joe, but no way will he win.

I know nothing of cycling or running, but I'm assuming he wouldn't. I'm also assuming that a lot of people assume he will win given his performance in cycling.

I've never used the word assume so much in a single post.

Of course not. He won't be in the top 100. He will turn in a very impressive time for a non-world-class runner, but there's no way he'll be in contention for the win.

If he decided to try to become a great marathon runner, he might actually be able to do it - he was a world-class triathlete as a teenager - but not without a lot more training and a lot less partying with Matthew McConaghey.

Cycling isn't running and neither of them are swimming.

Very different mechanics invovled. His cardiovascular endurance may be unequaled, but the beating you put on your body running is much different than biking.

fixed.

A bunch of the past winners of the NYC marathon in the last decade have been Kenyan.
