Actually, the electoral college is kinda like that...

People who aren't fearful racists won't see Romney's remarks as racist. It won't affect them at all. Those who are will be affected at a subconscious level.

It's subtle, more subtle than Toure claims, more subtle than Willie Horton, that's for sure...
I, along with about 45% of Californians that vote in the Presidential elections are going to be disenfranchised by the way the electoral college votes are counted in our State. Romney should get about 45% of the electoral votes from the State of California, but with a winner take all system, we get screwed. Where is the outrage!

So subtle it's not even there.
