The choice of that car aside, do you think he can really drive a stick if he's ordering one with an automatic (4banger with max 150hp im guessing)

(1) Yes I can drive a stick
(2) The car has 160 HP and 163 lb-ft of torque
(3) I'm a lazy bastard 😀

Exactly, I've driven sticks, but I never really got into it. I just got used to driving automatics and I'm fine with it.

Now if I were buying something like a 350Z or an RX8, I'd most definitely get a manual, but not for a grocery getter around town runabout

You guys didn't know that NFS4 only has 1 left arm? He lost the right one to a kraut hand grenade in dub dub two.

 for you!

i have never owned an automatic either. for some reason i feel my control of the car is very low with automatic car (it tells me when to shift gear? no way), so i'm not too comfortable driving it. i like to control the car when i'm driving.

why don't you keep the camry as a daily driver then get some bad ass manual car as your fun car.

Save on insurance that way too.

So tell me, halik, how much time do you spend each day with a knob in your hand?

but in SOCAL traffic is HELL so auto for me

Quit being a baby. Its managable.

<-- 4 years in Socal traffic, commuting from Marina Del Rey to Pomona and MDR to Studio City. You just learn to work with it and take surface routes.

i hate HATE having to hold the brake down when stopped, i always end up putting it to neutral when i drive my parents cars. Even my DD is stick (a4 quattro) just because any car is more fun to drive in manual. I'd be herecy to buy the Z in automatic...

If you were to get rear ended you'd end up slamming into the person in front of you.

so would you,
you only apply enough brake to stop stop the torque converter from spinning when your car is idling....thats nowhere near enough force to prevent your car from moving if you get nailed from behind (hehee nailed form behind)

Except he has put the handbrake on as he moved into neutral, like he should.

How are people approaching from behind supposed to know that you're stopped?
