do you think moving from 1 gig of memory --> 2 gigs of memory improve battlefield 2, or is it useless?

Will moving from 1 gig of memory -->2 gigs of memory improve battlefield 2, or will the program not even use it?

just curious. i'm building a new computer so i was wondering if it's worth it.

If you have to take off $100 from say a videocard, then I wouldn't do it since $100 takes you from x800xl (for instance) to 6600GT. If you are getting a fast videocard already, then sure 2 gigs is nice if you can afford it. Given the prices now, it shouldn't be too expensive.

Battlefield2 is the first game that put my memory usage in Task Manger over 1000.. Right around 1100-1200..

My machine still eats the demo alive @ 1680x1050



I'll hold off on 2GB's of ram as long as I can..

I don't need it for anything else, period.
