Do you think its too early to worry about a possible ebay fraud situation here?

On June 9th, I won these 500 poker chips on Ebay from a guy with 355 feedbacks 95% pos

They were 38 dollars and 31 shipping so it came to 69.99

I tried paying through paypal but it said that I needed to verify my order by giving my bank account number for their purposes and there was no way to get around it....i figured that was pretty weird

So i said whatever, told the guy and he said yeah paypal does that sometimes just send a money order and it will be fine....

So i sent out a money order for 70 dollars on June 10th certified mail with delivery confirmation


When I track it online, It says they tried to deliver it monday (14th), noone was home and now they have it at the post office

I emailed him many times telling him this however he hasn't responded for some reason


Should i start worrying? Its now friday night and still no response and no update saying that he actually picked it up...im just thinking...why wouldnt he pick up his money? Even if he was trying to rip me off you would think he would want to keep the money....lol


Maybe im just too cautious

Much ado about nothing...I'm sure everything will be cool. But, that seems like a big shipping charge for some poker chips.
 
That is some crappy feedback, that combined with the $32 shipping would make me not buy from that seller. But, since you have, I'd say there is a pretty good chance you'll get your chips with a very slow delivery.

Probably to offset the ebay fees. But yeah, give it some more time.

the bad feedbacks were just people getting psised off that they couldnt pay with paypal even though he said he could...alotta pepole were like GREAT THANKS FOR GR8 CHIPS!

i know i sent to right address bc i have reciept from the certified mail thing so tahts not the prob
 
He might be overwhelmed? He seems to be posting close to 50 auctions a day, he might have not had the time to go to the post office.

The thing that would worry me is that it's a relatively new account and recently a lot of negatives have started to appear. Might be a sign that he has shut down his operation.
 
Hang on. They tried to deliver it to YOU and you weren't home and now it's at "the post office?"
Have you tried going to the post office to pick it up??

Nevermind - they tried to deliver the money order to him, not the poker chips to you 😛
