Do you think it's possible to have another tragedy similar to 9/11, after 9/11?

In the past, I think that if you were on a plane that was being hijacked before 9/11, you'd try your best to stay alive and let the hijacking take course.

Would another attack like 9/11 be successful in a world after 9/11? Do you still think people would sit idle while a plane would be taken over, considering that the passengers know what the plane would be used for?

Hypothetically speaking, if I hijacker made it past ALL of our security, and for some reason an air marshall wasn't aboard - Would you personally retaliate if you were on a plane that had been hijacked after 9/11?

I would not sit there and watch as these idiots try to hijack a plane. I'd try my best to subdue them and get everyone else to do the same.

100+ people against 6 terrorists, who do you think wins? Perhaps a few innocent passengers may be sliced by knives but I mean its more than worth it to me. I'm willing to be sliced up so that I can not only save the people on the plane but whoever else that may be in the path of the plane.

I would be suprised if they tried that avenue again. Terrorist attacks work by looking for the weak link as it were, and right now airports are not it. Theres still so many viable options though its not even funny to think about.

Gas dispersion from ultralight aircraft
Stinger missle attacks on airplanes
Bombs on bridges
Mortar attacks on various types of installations (Suprised that one hasnt been tried yet actually. Mount a mortar in the back of a pickup with a tarp on it, drive within a few miles and let rip)

Hell, even a lone gunman with something as small as a .22LR can do massive damage. Dont target individuals, that silly. Attack the infrastructure. A .22 rifle is more the capable of knocking down power lines and taking our transformers. Drop the power grid. If you coordinated that with another type of attack you'd have one hell of a mess in the works.

I definately think the government agencies have thier work cut out for them, and on the whole applaud them for trying to do what they do, even if they dont always do it in the most effective manner.

next time you are flying, watch what happens to your checked-in baggage.... pretty much nothing.
90% of checked=in baggage goes thru into the hold of the plane without ANY inspection....

yeah another plane hijack is the least of are worries. just imagin if someone let loose some bioweapon in some downtown city. talk about mass damage and panic

Well, technically speaking, if you were on a hijacked plane, you would have two options: fight with the hijackers, or be blown out of the sky by some F15-flying hotshot (or Patriot missile or something). However, I don't think I will retaliate alone - dying in an air crash is better than being torn apart by knifes or even worse

I'm honestly surprised there haven't been more carbombs. That still seems to be the easiest way to get a massive amount of explosive right nest to whatever building you're trying to destroy. ...and with suicide bombers, it's not like they have try to get out alive.....just run a car full of explosives into a building (drive through the doors if they have to), with a trigger on their thumb. *shudder*
