Do you think it's ok to sell birthday presents?

Yes, I think it's fine. But as blustori said, do what they did in Old School

Some people have serious problems with giving money to people. I LOVE receiving money as a gift; it lets me buy what I want, it saves them on shopping time, I can probably get a good deal, and everybody wins! Some people just have to wrap a gift though, so in that case I feel it is perfectly justified to get the monetary value unless that gift was purchased for a very specific purpose. For example, if someone buys you a wireless keyboard/mouse because you've been bitching about not having one, then you'd better no sell the gift....

If someone buys you a magic 8-ball, by all means, ebay it!

I see no problem with selling a gift from someone. Especially if it was something like an oster.

Yeah I think it's okay. Imagine if you kept every thing that you received as a gift but didn't like. I'd have to rent storage sheds just to store all of that junk.

Personally, I'd rather someone sell my gift if they don't like it and get some money for it. I'd much rather that then have them put it in storage and forget about it.

Depends. If it's your SO giving you something thoughtful. No.

Uncle Joe giving you a crappy shirt? Yes.

Go ahead and sell it, to someone you don't know. It won't come back on you later. Regifting does sometimes.
