not a chance........ even if they let you in......... if you live in the USA ......... they won't let you back in without a passport.

I just wonder how strict they are about needing 6 months on your passport from your departure date. I'll be leaving on the 19th and my pp expires 5/8/06.

Ok, some of you must not go international a lot, because you need 6 months left on your passport at least. I go international many times a year, and I've never had a problem with the 6 month deadline because I remember to renew in time, but I've heard about people going through a lot of trouble.

Call your airline right away! I knew this senior citizen who was trying to fly from New York to Hong Kong and she was not allowed on the airplane with less than six months left on her passport. I know that Japan was okay because I was not questioned when I flew with United...

that is good advice, thanks. cathay pacific says you only need one month on your passport for Hong Kong so I should be ok.

i think this is about a passport not visas.

i checked ticket prices (online) and they seem to be 3-4k for late december to early jan, to and from tickets to HK from NY.

wondering if that's typical for this time of yr or have tickets increased due to gas prices.
