Do you mean 100% government provided, 100% employer provided, or mandatory to buy your own?

Yes - but I think there shoudl be some kind of restrictions. Children should be covered until they're 18, everyone over should have to be a working member of society (IE - employed) to be covered.

Provided for you by either the government, your employer, or a combo of both. No out of pocket expenses from the end recipient;)

Privatized healthcare doesn't have to suck either. It just has come to be that way.

Too many variables for me to answer. How would it work? Only for citizens or illegal immigrants as well. How about homeless people? Employed for how long, is any job ok? What do you need, just a social security number?

Why don't you re-phrase the question? Should healtcare be paid for 100% by those who work but provided to everyone, including those too lazy to get a job?

I can guarantee that if an employer pays for it, your salary will be reduced by exactly that amount.

I believe employers with enough employees should offer group plans, but not be required to do so. People will choose to work for employers that suit their needs. Let the market decide.

If the Gov. provides it, we all know how well they are at keeping costs down...not well at all. And in the end it still comes out of your pocket. So no, that's not the way to go either.

The government's role should be in providing tax breaks for healthcare. Tax free savings plans, credits and deductions. In combination with employer group plans (which always cost less due to more exposure units).

my 42 cents

If you think healthcare if expensive now, wait until it's free and every trailer park and housing project druggy goes to the doctor for every ache and pain and you, the taxpayer has to foot the bill.

The solution is SIMPLE AS HELL. Put in place a $200 deductible, and prevent use of the healthcare benefits to pay for all drugs. The reason insurance costs so damn much is people are happy with paying $300 a month for insurance to pay for their $75 checkups.
