It's possible, but that's pretty nasty. My bet is no.

Sure the front end is nasty, but it's supposed to do that to protect the passengers. It's a bad angle on the passenger compartment, but I'm guessing he lived with some foot/leg damage. Unless he wasn't belted in; then he died. Buckle up, people!
 
I'm pretty durable, so yeah, I'd walk away no problem. I'd call the police from a nearby diner while I drinking a coffee. Black.
