do you think global warming will bring the world together and reduce conflict?

research shows that one of the few things that can encourage an end to "tribalism" (conflict between waring factions) is a large problem that can only be overcome through cooperation between the waring groups. it seems to me that the impending environmental catastrophes associated with global warming might fit the bill.

I think a world war and the vast reduction of humans would better solve the problem.

So far, it has further divided us in to two camps. Those who believe global warming, and those who don't.

nope.

I do think an alien presence would be the only thing that would come CLOSE to doing it..and even then....half the world still woudlnt belive that they were aliens if they were slapped in the face by them.

Hell no. Once the world realizes that climate change is going to affect everyone, then people will start trying to lay blame. Since the stakes would be higher, people would therefore be more prone to violence.

Bring the world together? Only if it melts so much snow that it reduces the amount of land available...

Then maybe a group of thugs can take over a oil barge, and we get half-fish/half-men looking for land, and jeanne tripplehorn bares it all again .

..global warming is eco-alarmist propaganda and when the fraud is fully exposed it will induce litigation against the racketeering perpetrators and exact damages for losses.

Climate change is inevitable.

Global Warming is a political, not scientific based idea.

I think it will cause more conflict. Countries' will spend too much timing blaming each other for it. Blame on the cause, blame on the solution, blame on the effects.
Blame.
Blame.
Blame.

It will get a lot worse before we figure a way to fix it. And many nations will use it as an excuse to further other political agendas.

Uniting the world under a single religion, not the first time it has been tried..... if people do not want to convert, what then? Apply crusades and jihads against them?

Only an imminent colision with a planet-killing asteroid could hope to achieve what you suggest.

Or just vote them out of office at the next election.
