Do you think Eric Rudolph is guilty or just a patsy?

Most of the evidence that I have heard has been pretty much circumstantial and the Olympic Park bombing does not really fit his MO.

It would not surprise me if he did bomb the abortion clinics due to his indoctrination into hate, but I really don't see where the prosecutors really have a case.

I'm inclined to think he's guilty. He has extreme views on abortion, homosexuality and such. He has prior training in demolitions (and was apparently quite enthusiastic about the training). Also, if he's not guilty or at least somehow involved, why did he go into hiding?

Innocent people might lawyer-up, but they don't go on the lamb fleeing justice for five years.

Think he could have gotten a fair trial immediately afterwards?

Well, considering now everyone and their cat has heard of him (since he went into hiding) via all the media coverage I'd say the odds of a fair trial are about even then vs. now.

Then: public outrage demands a conviction

Now: media coverage of manhunt + background info (demolitions, extreme views, etc) having come to light makes him look guilty.

True, but hindsight is always 20/20

Perhaps, but I'm sure they'll do what they can to assure him a fair trial. The last thing anyone wants is for him to be railroaded for the sake of a conviction and then go down as some kind of wacko martyr.

The FBI and the media were so very sure that Richard Jewel(the poor sap security guard) did the Olympic bombing. Now they are sure this Rudolph guy did it.

Odds are he did the abortion clinic(it's not a women's clinic, it's an abortion clinic) bombing. I sincerely doubt he did any of the other bombings attributed to him.

And if the FBI was after me as hard as they were after him then I would prefer to be a mountain man too. People say hiding meant he was guilty but people would also say that going to a lawyer meant you were guilty.

you go to a lawyer to ensure your rights are protected and you dont get railroaded, you run and hide when you are guilty.

thanks for clarifying, i thought it was a "men's" abortion clinic....

those people are just ignorant, if their God did not want it to continue he would stop it, why does he need a mortal man to do essentially nothing? We need to wipe out all religions.
