Oh, and also, the PS3 is an embarassment hardware-wise. I would be shocked if it can match the graphical quality of the Conroe, Radeon X1900 XT, 2 GB RAM system I'm building. The gap will only widen from here on out.

The 360 at least has some custom features on its GPU that won't be duplicated in the PC World for a few more months...

I say consoles won't take over PCs anytime soon. It won't happen until Blizzard makes World of Warcraft available for consoles. So far Blizzard has no plans to do that, and they won't until keyboards become standard on consoles.

never. PCs have far more capabilities than consoles...where else can you play diablo 2, starcraft (forget the n64 version = crap), and warcraft 3?

and besides...you can upgrade to better graphics in months. 6800 Ultra to a 7800GTX. you can even go sli/crossfire, update your cpu to do more work per clock. update your optical drives to get blu-ray/hd-dvd, or max out the hard drives with more GBs.

/thread.

but i still like consoles and their games. its just that i think PCs > consoles.

You think kids are going to build there own sweet computers with just a few hundred bucks... think they even know of a newegg? they probobly think it's impossible to buy a monitor under $400

They will either buy a $4,000 Dell XPS/AlienWare (rip off) or buy something cheap... realise it sucks and just quit pc gaming
They won't build which is the way to go nowadays

The fact is for pc gaming you actualy have to worry about the PC while console systems are just there.. they ussualy work perfect or fail all together, plus there are no new Conroes and such every few months

Basicaly the average video game player (teenager) doesn't understand, won't spend a couple hours heer and there to keep up with PC techology so they just go with consoles

_____
__________

If Consoles > Computer
then dam good work, they deserve the money and I'll probobly buy one of those in a few years instead of a computer

I would sum it up like this: We are in the ipod era. Its all the rage to be trendy, lazy, and uninformed

No. Consoles are toys. They don't do work. Maybe for kids.
