Do you think Clinton or Obama is the better President

I'm particularly curious about how the folks on the right feel about the two men. Folks like Rush Limbaugh, etc. treated Clinton like the anti-Christ throughout his presidency (and long after). I would presume they've now turned their ire against Obama, and forgotten about Clinton for the most part. So which one do you prefer?

far too early to judge and I'm not old enough to remember exactly what WJC was like 100-ish days into his first term.

Clinton was too busy getting BJ's in the oval office to do anything really destructive to our country.

A little premature don't you think?

Agreed. While I think Clinton was WAY better than the two before him or the one who followed him, it's way too early to pass judgement on Obama.

I'm far from being an Obama supporter, but like many who are, I can only hope for the best at this point.

Too bad we can't say the same about Bush.

Bush's picture is in the dictionary under the definition of FUBAR.

This is a really lame question 4 months into it. Obama inherited a giant mess and hasn't had time to do anything but try and deal with it.

Clinton's first two years were so bad that Democrats lost control of congress for the first time in 40 years. Never forget that fact.

What makes Clinton better over the course of his two terms though is the fact that he was able to twist and bend with the political wind and give the American people what they wanted.

There is NO sign that Obama is going to do that. Ignore his popularity numbers and look at the numbers when it comes to actually governance and you will see that what Obama wants and what the Americans want are very different things. Eventually Obama's personal popularity will start to fade and then his approval numbers will follow.

Uh...Clinton had a Democrat-dominated congress when he came to power in 1992. The republicans came in '94.

Re: OP - way too early to tell for sure, and Obama inherited a much worse situation so hard to compare apples to apples. Given everything he has put into place I think the earliest point we can start judging is at the end of the year.

I think Clinton was a fantastic president as a whole. As of right now, I'd say Clinton no question - but what's with everyone trying to rate Obama after such a short period of time? That's stupid.

WJC did have a 1.8Trillion (with a T) deficit and a planned deficit for the next decade. That should be enough to answer the poll.
