Do you think blowing air on NES games really did anything?

I remember doing this all of the time when games didn't work, but I really don't know if it ever really did anything. Sometimes you'd have to do it like 30 times before the game started working

Yea. Or leaving the game slightly out of the slot so it makes the clunk sound before it goes in.

i figured the aerosolized spit cleaned off some of the contacts - although it probably caused corrosion in the long run.

I think it was a temporary fix. At first blowing would make it work everytime but after a few months go by you had to blow more frequently until eventually it stopped working.

it didnt work too well for me. i was more of a fan of shoving another game cartridge on top of the game i was playing in the console.

LOL, I remember that one too.

It's funny where all these little "tricks" came from. Back then no one used the internet, so it's not like you'd look it up there. Yet, everyone in the world seems to have used the same methods of getting their Nintendo to work
