On the phone or in person? My parents live like a mile away from me, so it's pretty mixed.
I generally hate talking on the phone, as does my dad, so if we're ever on the phone together it lasts about a minute and that's usually a "hey how are things? how's my granddaughter? work going ok? ok love you, bye"
My mom, I usually talk to her on the phone once a week or so and that's because we have a schedule to work out or a birthday party to plan or something.
In person, we all usually go over to my parent's house once a week, and I try to have a conversation with my dad but he's hard of hearing and refuses to wear his hearing aids. Eventually I get sick of repeating myself and raising my voice and him saying "you don't have to yell" and the conversation end with me saying "I SAID PUT IN YOUR HEARING AIDS!" and walking away to go talk to my mom.
