Do you talk to your parents often?

I've done the math recently and figured I talk to my parents at least two to three hours a week, as an adult.

I talk to my mom on the phone for around a couple hours a month. I don't get to talk to my dad often because he lives out of the country, but we do email each other.

I talk to my dad once a day because he's a big gearhead like I am so he calls to talk shop.

Mom maybe a couple times a month.

Conversations with my Dad tend to devolve into long silences so I don't call him as often, only if I have something to talk about. I try to call my Mom once a week.

It has been a few years since I have talked to my mom. Never talk to my dad, he and my mom divorced 20 years ago.

Wow I live with my Dad and I don't talk to him ever. Maybe like a random Hi here or there.. I'd say a sentence or two a week, tops.
Clearly I don't have the best relationship with my family.

Once in a while. It can be a call a week that won't last that long or maybe once every two days that lasts maybe 5-10 minutes, nothing more. Nothing beats having a loving family.

As little as possible. My parents have serious marital issues, and they actively try to involve me sooner or later, even if I start a conversation about something completely separate.

I talk to both my parents at least every other day. Mom wants to hear about grad school, and dad wants to chat about sports. Good folks.

Talk to them for maybe 30-45 mins every couple weeks ...

I have't lived at home in over 10 years. I think when we have kids we'll try to do the Sunday talk to grandma and grandpa calls like my family used to do :)

I talk to my mom almost everyday, she lives close by for now and my son loves to visit with her. I talk to my pops only as-needed, visits with him are short and sweet if I have my way..this is due to his overall douchebaggedness.

I can't talk to my dad on the phone, he is 93 and has Alzheimer's real bad doesn't even know how to hold a phone to his ear and cannot even comprehend a full sentence or remember what i or he just said. My mom is 88 and has dementia real bad and babbles and talks about things that happened years ago, lives in a fantasy world . even once every 2 weeks or so when i drive the 250 round trip to see them in the nursing home they live in we have a hard time talking as each of them is so far gone a conversation is impossible.sad sad sad.

I try and drive up to see them every other week, but at least once/month minimum.

On the phone or in person? My parents live like a mile away from me, so it's pretty mixed.

I generally hate talking on the phone, as does my dad, so if we're ever on the phone together it lasts about a minute and that's usually a "hey how are things? how's my granddaughter? work going ok? ok love you, bye"

My mom, I usually talk to her on the phone once a week or so and that's because we have a schedule to work out or a birthday party to plan or something.

In person, we all usually go over to my parent's house once a week, and I try to have a conversation with my dad but he's hard of hearing and refuses to wear his hearing aids. Eventually I get sick of repeating myself and raising my voice and him saying "you don't have to yell" and the conversation end with me saying "I SAID PUT IN YOUR HEARING AIDS!" and walking away to go talk to my mom.

Every single day for the most part. Maybe skip a day at most.
My parents watch my daughter 3 times a week since they are a lot cheaper than daycare!
Have a lake house that has been in the family for 80+ years, so every weekend in the summer the family congregates there.

I talk to my Mom on the phone maybe once every 2-3 weeks for a few mins.

My Dad is usually there in the back ground and I'll talk to him directly maybe once every other month or so but we're both not big on talking on the phone.

I communicate with my Mom via AIM and email all the time though.

My wife on the other hand seems to have 30-45 min conversations with her Mom and Dad on the phone at least once a week.

I've never been to big on talking on the phone though.

Last month on my cell phone bill I used a whopping 45 mins for the month and it's the only phone I have (no house phone).

Hmmm.. probably about 20 minutes a week. Usually I talk to them both on speakerphone. I see them fairly often. Usually a weekend every 6 weeks or so. (they live about 3 hours away from me)

I usually talk to my Mom once a week.

I rarely talk to my Dad though. I called and left him a message a couple weeks ago but he never called me back.
