do you sweat more when you're in shape?

according to the shameless marketing on this arrowhead water bottle, you do.

I first heard that claim from my 9th grade PE teacher, but being the bonehead she was, she probably just got the idea from an arrowhead water bottle.

I have to say, I don't believe it one bit because I never ever exercise and I sweat more than anybody I know.

You're capable of it, because your body is more efficient, but a fat person walking up stairs will sweat before a fit one.

actually, yes. Don't remember exactly why, but it ha ssomething to do with muscle burning more fuel and your body becoming more efficient at cooling down (eg- sweating more)

I have first hand experience that you sweat like a mofo when you aren't in shape. Although I do plan to change this soon.

Difference between people that are in shape and sweat a lot and people who aren't in shape and sweat a lot is that the person whose in shape wont be tired even if he/she is sweating a lot while on the other hand the person whose out of shape would be half dead.

According to Shape magazine, it's right along those lines - your body anticipates the heat buildup that occurs from exerting yourself.
