Cool. Let me know how you like it, I want to make sure that others agree that it's helpful before I start recommending it to friends.

I really like the "How to Ace Calculus: A Streetwise Guide" series.
Now they need to make those for abstract algebra and topology and I'll be set for 2006.

Prior to this week I've never really had faith that a book (especially one of only about 200 pages or so) could successfully teach me math, but I've been pleasantly surprised. These books that I'm working at now teach it much better than any of my teachers have. It'll be nice to see whether that holds true for something more complicated, like calculus.
Thanks again for the reccomendation, that book had some great reviews.

Does this include how to ace diffy E? I had to leave school for financial/moronic actions on my own part reasons a few years ago right before i went in to DE. i remember not understanding parametric stuff too well. I need a refresh

What type of differential equations? ODE or PDE?

The BA isn't that math intensive. I think you need what maybe a few stat classes and calc1.
