Do you still have 12:00 blinking on your VCR?

Mine still does.
I have set the time before but my brother mistakenly unplugged VCR instead of the N64 and so I do not want to go through the damn menus and button smashing. Arg!!

No, but the time isn't even close to being right on mine. For some reason on my VCR you have to use the remote for everything, well my remote broke so I am using a universal remote. I went to set the clock, got to the part where it said "Press the AM/PM key to select AM or PM" and my universal remote didn't have a damn AM/PM key! So I just said screw it and didn't set it, and its like 8 hours off now. My VCR won't blink 12:00. If you don't set it, it will just start keeping time like you set it to 12:00am. So the only way I am going to get it right without that damn key is to wait until midnight one night, unplug it, and plug it back in. :D

I just set mine to auto-set the time. In most parts of the United States, the local PBS channel sends out a signal with the correct time. The newer VCR's are able to pick up on it and set their own clock. So I don't have to.

My Sony VCR has a battery that remembers the time when the power is out for a few hours. That was the feature on it that made me buy it over other models. Just set it, and forget it.

Why don't DVD players have clocks? At least mine and a bunch I've seen in the stores don't have em.
