Do you still get a corsage for your date for the prom?

My high school prom is this Friday, and I was going to order flowers tomorrow, and my mom is telling me that the girls don?t wear corsages anymore. Is this true? I figured this was still a key part of it, but I dunno, have I been assuming wrong? Do you still get a corsage?

yep. you can give a corsage...for her wrist usually. For my prom a few years ago, i didn't want a corsage but still wanted flowers so my date got my favorite flowers(iris') into a simple beautiful bouquet (think of a bridesmaid bouquet) i think they are called nosegays.

Either way, make you date feel special!

I'm pretty sure that is an affirmative, but don't quote me on that (didn't go to prom).

Ah thanks, thats what I thought. A wrist corsage it is. I just hope 3 days is enough time to get one...

I played chauffeur for a friend of mine's son last Saturday and yes, corsages are still 'in.' Have fun Friday, buddy :D

When prom time came around for me in high school I decided to spend the money I would have wasted on a date on my car instead.

'57 Ford Fairland 500, '58 Ford Police Interceptor engine with 406 hi performance cam, shaved heads, Holly 850 carb, 3 speed La Salle tranny with Merc tail housing, 12" two groove slicks and metal flake blood red paint job. There was never enough money to keep that puppy chuggin'.

In 1979 I got my date a corsage. Kinda fun trying to pin it on her chest with her mom watching.

Wrist is in, has been for quite some time. If you get a normal corsage, be careful about the accidental boobage contact in front of her mom;)
